QEEG Brain Mapping

Get to the Bottom of Your or Your Child's Issues With a QEEG Brain Map

At the office of Dr. Roseann Capanna-Hodge, LLC we use QEEG, otherwise known as brain mapping to “check under the hood” combined with a detailed clinical intake to really “see” what is going on. A QEEG brain map allows us to see unique patterns of your brain and understand what areas have too much or too little brainwave activity.

What is QEEG Brain Mapping?

A QEEG brain map shows us what is happening over the brain structures, as well as the brain’s communication between sites and since we know exactly what areas of the brain do, we don’t have to “guess” about what the real issues because we can use this objective and clear cut data to find solutions.

For both our Neurofeedback and Biofeedback therapies, we begin with a QEEG brain map as part of your initial assessment so we make sure we are addressing the right issues with the right treatment. This is critical for improving all mental health symptoms because too often an assessment is based only on “guessing” and with a QEEG brain map, we can accurately see what the brain is doing or not doing and design the right treatment plan.*

Unlike other practitioners, all of our QEEG data will be analyzed by Dr. Roseann herself who has done thousands of QEEG brain maps and then who will then craft a custom treatment plan.*

Why QEEG Brain Maps Should Be Part of Every Intake

A quantitative EEG (QEEG) is a objective diagnostic tool that looks at brainwave patterns and takes away the guesswork that is a part of every standard intake. By using a QEEG, we will be able to examine what areas of the brain are working or not and identify specific issues and disorders that could have otherwise been overlooked and led to infective or improper treatment.*

Conditions Found With QEEGs

When we lead with neuroscience and data through the use of a QEEG, you are able to easily identify specific symptoms, issues, and conditions. A QEEG brain map combined with a clinical intake with Dr. Roseann, who has an almost indescribable ability to figure out exactly what is going on and what to do about it, will help you identify conditions such as anxiety, ADHD, LD, OCD, depression, PANS/PANDAS, etc. can be determined. *

Results of a QEEG

As part of a clinical intake, QEEGs are a beneficial tool that find the reasoning behind certain illnesses or symptoms. After performing a QEEG, we'll be able to identify cognitive and psychiatric problems, finding which brainwave patterns need improvement, and determining which therapy (either Neurofeedback or Biofeedback) can best help your situation. After your sessions, we'll also be able to track your progress through multiple QEEGs over time. Learn more about QEEG brain maps.

Does Brain Mapping Really Work?

Brain mapping, especially through QEEG, is a validated and transformative tool in mental health. It provides objective insights into brainwave activity, surpassing subjective assessments. This precision is crucial for tailoring effective treatment plans, as the data guides clinicians in making informed decisions and real-time adjustments.

Beyond diagnostics, brain mapping serves as a dynamic instrument for tracking treatment progress and offering measurable outcomes. Its scientific validation demonstrates accuracy in various mental health conditions and integration into comprehensive treatment programs underlines its efficacy.

⭐⭐⭐⭐

“My only regret is not finding Dr. Roseann and her team sooner. We spent years trying to help my daughter overcome what started with anxiety and slowly morphed into depression. In the first 10 minutes of the intake with Dr. Ro, she figured out exactly what the issues were and stopped all that guessing. Within a few months, she was not only not depressed, she was sleeping again, talking to us and her friends, and got her anxiety under control for the first time in her life.”

Common QEEG Questions:

Search online for licensed clinicians or mental health professionals specializing in QEEG assessments, or inquire with local healthcare providers for recommendations.

The cost of brain mapping can vary, ranging from a few hundred to several thousand dollars. Factors influencing the price include the provider's expertise, location, and the comprehensiveness of the assessment.

Reach out to licensed clinicians or healthcare professionals experienced in QEEG. They will guide you through the process, which typically involves wearing a cap with sensors to measure brainwave activity during a session.

Neurofeedback QEEG combines neurofeedback therapy with QEEG assessments. The QEEG provides a baseline understanding of brainwave patterns, enabling clinicians to design personalized neurofeedback protocols aimed at addressing specific neurological issues for optimal mental health outcomes.
