Stress Treatments

Stress/Anxiety woman - Stress treatments

Why Are We so Stressed?

We live busy lives without much down time from work and school. Anxiety can result from everyday stress. Long-term stress has a physiological effect on the body. Some show physical signs of stress through teeth grinding, headaches, stomach pain, and so on while others may have more internal types of anxiety, such as obsessive thinking, compulsions, worry, irrational fears, etc.  Ongoing stress and anxiety impact how our body and brain functions, which results in abnormal brain wave functioning.

How Does Stress Affect You?

Chronic stress increases the stress hormone cortisol and affects many brain functions, putting you at risk for many mood disorders and other mental issues.

How Can Neurofeedback Help?

Stress can impact brain functioning in so many ways; leaving Individuals with both underactive and overactive brainwave functioning. Chronic stress states often result in a tendency to overthink or have looping thoughts, which is reflected in hyper coherence or over communication in the brain. Neurofeedback reduces these underactive and overactive brainwaves to help retrain the brain and therefore reduce symptoms of anxiety.

How Can Advanced Bio-Regulation (BRT) Help?

PEMF and Biofeedback are designed to help the Central Nervous System (CNS) relax. Physiologically, the body is programmed to deal with stress first and healing second, so when we get the CNS to calm down, it promotes an environment where the body can heal itself, improve sleep, reduce anxiety and stress, as well as increase feelings of well-being.

How Can Counseling Help?

We pair neuroscience with clinically proven and effective, holistic therapies. Learning ways to reduce stress and create balance in one’s life is critical to breaking the chronic stress cycle. We combine traditional talk therapy with effective techniques that more directly impact the subconscious, such as EFT/Tapping, hypnosis, somatic therapy, play therapy, art therapy, etc.
