Why Can’t I Sleep?
Insomnia is on the rise due to an increase in daily stress, increased EMF through devices, poor diet, lack of exercise, hormone and thyroid issues, adrenal fatigue, infectious disease and autoimmune disorders. Americans work hard and our lifestyle isn’t one that allows for downtime and good sleep routines. Our bodies and brains have simply become too used to being “wound up”, so getting to or staying asleep has become challenging for many.
How Common Are Sleep Problems?
According to The American Academy of Sleep Medicine, 30 to 35% of Americans have brief symptoms of insomnia. 15 to 20% of Americans have a short-term insomnia disorder, which lasts less than three months. 10% of Americans have a chronic insomnia disorder, which occurs at least three times per week for at least three months.
How Can Neurofeedback Help?
Insomnia can alter brain wave patterning and functioning. Once areas of dysfunction are identified with a QEEG, Neurofeedback can directly change these areas. Through a process of reinforcement, brain wave activity is improved and symptoms are reduced.
How Can Advanced Bio-Regulation (BRT) Help?
PEMF and Biofeedback are designed to help the Central Nervous System (CNS) to relax. Physiologically, the body is programmed to deal with stress first and healing second, so when we get the CNS to calm down, it promotes an environment where the body can heal itself, reduces stress, and most importantly improves sleep.
