Description: Housatonic Valley Coalition Against Substance Abuse (HVCASA) is a coalition of volunteers, citizens, and prevention professionals dedicated to developing and coordinating services that reduce the harmful effects of substance abuse and addiction on individuals, families, and children living and working in the twenty-two towns that comprise the Northwest corner of Connecticut.
The “Right Here, Right Now – Innovative Approaches for Addressing the Opioid Crisis” workshop will include keynote speaker, Dr. Andrew Kolodny who will be speaking to prevention and treatment professionals at WCSU. There will also be four other workshops at the conference: 1. Medicated Assisted Treatment and SBIRT 2. Making Strides with Alternative Therapies 3. Innovations in Recovery 4. Emerging Trends in Law Enforcement and optional Narcan training 2:00-3:00
